Your data, protected by design
Biometric payments only work if the templates behind them are handled with care. Here is exactly how yours are.
- Only the extracted vector is stored — never a photograph or a raw scan
- The vector is encrypted before it is written to the database
- One template can belong to one account only; a duplicate is rejected
- Deleting a template is permanent, not a hidden flag — you would have to enrol again
- A 6-digit PIN adds a second factor on transactions that need extra verification
- Sign out of every device at once if you ever lose access to one
Common questions
If it's not here, the answer is the same one the portal itself gives you once you're signed in.
My top-up says PENDING — where is my money?
Money lands in your wallet only once PhaJay sends back a correctly signed confirmation. Until then the transaction stays PENDING and no money has left your account.
Can I turn off biometric payments temporarily?
Yes — turning a biometric type off blocks it at checkout without deleting the enrolled template, so you can turn it back on anytime.
What happens if I scan the same biometric type again?
Re-enrolling replaces the old template for that type. It never creates a duplicate.
Is my phone number visible to anyone?
The portal shows a masked phone number everywhere in the interface, and sign-in only ever asks for the digits after the country code.
I lost access to a device — what now?
Sign out everywhere from Security settings. It revokes every token issued before that moment; this device gets a fresh one and stays signed in.
